About your host
I am an award-winning photographer that won the Media24 Legends Top Freelance photographer award this year. I have been for 15 years in the media being a senior lifestyle and travel journalist and photo journalist. This passion also led me to be a qualified Western cape tourist guide that knows my city, Cape Town. I love the east side and Harrington Street and want to introduce the walking instagrammers and story-tellers to local favourite spots and landmark so that they can get the best #instagramsnap and promote the city.
What we’ll do
This is a Instagram walking tour. I will give history and photography social story-telling and to create an awesome carousel that will get you more likes and followers. You will also improve your business and lifestyle account. I could give tips on how to tell your visual story on Instagram. During this #instagramsnapsctp walking tour you will: 1.

We will start at Roxy Rhythm bar - a local hangout spot, in the heart of Gardens. Here you will have a coffee an croissant. From here on we go to Roodehek Street to a place called Dog's Bollocks.

We then visit a unofficial children's home and the residence of Elizabeth Barrett that lived in upper Harrington road for 33 years. She and her dog Lemo will inspire you. She even got a heroine award from ex-president Zuma for saving kids from a fire.

You will visit the art gallery #whatsknext or Knext, Nude Foods, other graffiti pieces, The Electic.

Meet a new addition to the wood - a graffiti piece of a Jack Russell made by Belgium artist, Bart Smeets.

Expect to visit Charly’s Bakery, for a taste of the choc-fudge brownie.

See other graffiti pieces and murals of Mandela. 7. Walk around in east side hood and get that #instasnap of the Mountain and Peaks from a high building.
What else you should know

Bring extra water and cover yourself with sunblock.
Where we will be
We will visit Roxy Rhythm bar by Dunkley square and Dog's Bollocks where locals hang out. The local Elizabeth Barrett's and her dog Lemo welcomes us at her house in Upper Harrington Street where she has been living for 33 years. She looks after 16 kids. Visit the new addition to Harrington Street. It is a graffiti piece of a Jack Russell painted by a Belgium artists as part of BazArt project. Have a choc-fudge brownie at Charly's Bakery.

This is a picture taken from the roof of #deliverancecoffeeshop. The Belgium artist Bart "Smeeks" did this piece in November 2018.
